Independence Day Closure

May 20, 2024

Announcement: In observance of Independence Day, The Department of Contracts and Grants, consistent with the University calendar, will be closed on the following dates:

  • Thursday, July 4th
  • Friday, July 5th

Principal Investigators and Department Administrators should be mindful of these closures when planning the submission of proposals with deadlines that fall on July 4th or July 5th.

Please note, July 5th is the deadline date for the National Institutes of Health’s R01 and U01 renewals, resubmissions and revisions. It is critical that all researchers and research administrators allow sufficient time to review and submit proposals and award actions no later than July 3rd. Early submission is vitally important for any Grants.gov submissions due to the validation requirements.

We greatly appreciate your support in ensuring that these proposals reach DCG for submission in a timely manner and look forward to working with you.

Questions? Please direct any questions to the DCG Contracts and Grants Officer assigned to your unit.
