Independence Day Closure

June 24, 2026

Announcement: The Department of Contracts and Grants, consistent with the University calendar, will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Principal Investigators and Department Administrators should be mindful of this closure when planning the submission of proposals. Please be aware that the NIH due date for the following mechanisms is July 5:

  • R01 – Renewal, Resubmission, and Revision Applications
  • U01 – Renewal, Resubmission, and Revision Applications

Plan Ahead for Successful Submission:

To ensure adequate time for institutional review and successful submission, especially on heavy deadline dates, DCG strongly recommends that investigators submit their final proposal packages well in advance of the sponsor deadline. Early submission is vitally important for any Grants.gov submissions due to the validation requirements.

Thank you for planning ahead and partnering with DCG to support timely proposal submissions.

Questions? Please direct any questions to the DCG Contracts and Grants Officer assigned to your unit.
