The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has issued an official update stating that HRSA grant funds may no longer be used for activities that do not align with recent Executive Orders (E.O.s), including:
- Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing
- Cuts funding for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in federal agencies and eliminates DEI-related hiring preferences, grants, and training programs.
- Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Action
- Impacts funding tied to previous executive actions considered “harmful” by the issuing administration.
- Could target funds allocated for climate policies, social justice initiatives, or regulations affecting businesses.
- Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation
- Restricts federal funding for gender-affirming healthcare, including puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and gender-affirming surgeries for minors.
- Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government
- Likely stops funding for policies allowing gender identity to influence legal definitions of sex in federal programs.
- Could defund grants supporting gender identity education, training, or research.
