The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is adopting the Biographical Sketch Common Form and the Current and Pending (Other) Support Common Form in alignment with the White House OSTP memorandum on standardizing disclosure forms across federal agencies.
Goals of the Change
- Increase standardization across agencies.
- Clarify who discloses what, and how (including updates, corrections, and certification).
- Promote cross-agency consistency in reporting requirements.
Timing Update
Although NIH initially planned to implement the new Common Forms by May 25, 2025, this date is now postponed. NIH will issue future notices with new deadlines and implementation steps. Until then, continue using current NIH Biosketch and Other Support formats for all submissions, including JIT and RPPRs.
