New Nominations

New Limited Submissions
- Please find below one limited submission for your perusal and distribution. A link to the opportunity is below:
- (1) PAR-23-077: Collaborative Program Grant for Multidisciplinary Teams (RM1 – Clinical Trial Optional)
- Process for Limited Submissions: PIs must submit their application as a Limited Submission through the Research Initiatives and Infrastructure Application Portal: https://rii.usc.edu/oor-portal/. PIs must create their own SurveyMonkey account in order to proceed with submission.
- Materials to submit include:
- (1) Two-Page Proposal Summary (1” margins; single-spaced; font type: Arial, Helvetica, Times New Roman, or Georgia typeface; font size: 11 pt). Page limit includes references and illustrations. Pages that exceed the 2-page limit will be excluded from review.
- (2) CV – (5 pages maximum)
- Note: The portal requires information about the PIs in addition to department and contact information, including the 10-digit USC ID#, Gender, and Ethnicity. Please have this material prepared before beginning this application.

- Research Grants for Equitable Health Futures
- Funder: Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
- Application deadline: Rolling until October 15, 2025
- Grant amount: Varies. $1M+ is possible
- Grant period: Usually 2-3 years
- Eligibility: Faculty
- Description: Supports projects that seed new and unconventional ideas that could radically advance health equity. By applying this future-facing lens, grantees uncover how emerging social, cultural, scientific, technological, environmental, and economic trends and forces could shape the future of health for everyone. Preferred project aims:
- Research and experiment with ideas that are ahead of the curve or at the edge of our collective imagination
- Examine emerging trends and forces that are shaping our future for better or worse—and suggest ways to navigate them to mitigate harm and advance health equity
- Challenge conventional wisdom to surface possibilities and uncover new paths to dismantle structural racism and build a more equitable future

- Research Grants on Reducing Inequality
- Funder: William T. Grant Foundation
- LOI Deadline: May 7, 2025
- Grant amount: $100,000 – $600,000 over 2-3 years
- Eligibility: Faculty
- Description: Funds research studies that aim to build, test, or increase understanding of programs, policies, or practices to reduce inequality in the academic, social, behavioral, or economic outcomes of young people ages 5–25 in the U.S., along dimensions of race, ethnicity, economic standing, sexual or gender minority status, language minority status, or immigrant origins.
- Descriptive studies that describe, explore, or explain how programs, practices, or policies reduce inequality
- Intervention studies that provide causal evidence on the effectiveness of programs or policies for reducing inequality
- Measurement development studies that can enhance the work of researchers, practitioners, or policymakers to reduce inequality.

- The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine maintain a database of more than 1,600 research opportunities and administer postdoctoral and senior research awards at participating federal laboratories and affiliated institutions at locations throughout the U.S. and abroad.
- The next due date is May 1st, 2025.
- Award benefits include:
- Stipends ranging from $45,000 to $108,000; may be higher based on experience
- Health insurance (including dental and vision)
- Relocation assistance for Research Associates who will be on tenure for at least six months and who at the time of award reside more than 50 miles from the host laboratory
- Professional travel allowance
