NIH Issues New Centralized Resource of Policies and Practices for Promoting Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

August 7, 2024

Announcement: The National Institutes of Health has issued a new resource to assist the research community in understanding how NIH policies guide artificial intelligence (AI)-related research. The purpose of the resource is to illustrate the applicability of existing policies and guidance to research involving AI technologies. The resource can be accessed at: https://osp.od.nih.gov/policies/artificial-intelligence/.

To gain further perspective on how NIH is approaching AI-related research, please see the latest “Under the Poliscope” blog from NIH Associate Director for Science Policy, Dr. Lyric Jorgenson. Additionally, if you are not yet a subscriber to this listserv, you can sign up here.

Questions? Questions on the resource may be sent to SciencePolicy@od.nih.gov or feel free to reach out to your DCG Officer.
