Issuance of the NSF Grants.gov Application Guide

January 20, 2023

Announcement: NSF has published a revised version of the NSF Grants.gov Application Guide (NSF 23-006). Overall, the Guide has been updated to align with the revisions to NSF’s Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 23-1).

Changes include:

  • Editorial changes to either clarify or enhance the intended meaning of a sentence or section.
  • References to Research.gov have been incorporated throughout, as part of the final transition from FastLane to Research.gov for proposal preparation and submission.
  • Website and document references have been updated to reflect current information.
  • Updates have been made to ensure consistency with data contained in NSF systems or guidance located and terminology used in other NSF or Federal policy documents.

A by-chapter summary of changes is provided at the beginning of the document.  The Guide will be effective for applications submitted (via Grants.gov) or due, on or after January 30, 2023.

Questions?  If you have any questions regarding changes to the NSF Grants.gov Application Guide or the PAPPG, please reach out to your DCG Officer.
