NSF Releases FAQ Regarding COVID-19

March 6, 2020

Announcement: The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released FAQs related to COVID-19. Included are the below general recommendations:

  • Contact your Program Officer (PO) regarding any impact on a project.
    • Refer to USC guidance regarding foreign travel, in addition to the State Department’s Travel Advisories website.
  • For conference or travel awards impacted by travel advisories, consider, identify and discuss alternate plans, such as virtual participation, rescheduling the conference or utilizing funds for a future meeting consistent with the objectives of the award.
  • Consider no cost time extensions if the award activities are disrupted by the COVID-19 public health threat.

Please review the referenced FAQs and consult with your Program Officer regarding any potential impact on your award.

Questions? Should you have any questions, please contact the Contracts and Grants Officer assigned to your unit.
