The Department of Contracts and Grants extends warm wishes to you and your families for a joyful and restful holiday season. As we approach Thanksgiving and the University’s Winter Recess, please review the important dates and reminders below regarding upcoming office closures.
Office Closures
In observance of the holidays, DCG will be closed on the following dates:
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, 2025
- Winter Recess: Thursday, December 25, 2025, through Thursday, January 1, 2026
Planning Ahead
Principal Investigators and Department Administrators are encouraged to plan ahead for proposal and award activity during this period. Please be especially mindful of:
- Proposals with deadlines that fall within these closure dates.
- Proposals due in early January 2026.
- Time-sensitive post-award actions such as no-cost extensions, prior approval requests, and similar items.
It is essential that all researchers and administrators allow adequate time for DCG review and submission of proposals and award actions in the coming weeks. Early submission is particularly critical for Grants.gov proposals due to federal validation requirements.
